Accordion shutters have been selected to protect the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida.

This type of shutter is fabricated from high strength aluminum alloy. The enamel finish comes standard in white, bronze, beige, ivory, and is baked on at 450 degrees to assure a permanent smooth appearance. The assembly hardware is made of stainless steel. Steel wheel carriages, nylon wheels and reinforced ribs add extra strength and durability.

The accordion shutter is permanently installed and the shutters are folded out-of-the way as shown in the picture on the left.
Accordion shutters also provide the owner a means of securing their building from unwanted intruders. The shutters glide easily on the installed tracks. In most cases, it's simply a matter of grasping the handle and pulling it closed. It's that easy!
